iwadori Posted Friday at 02:33 Share Posted Friday at 02:33 (edited) Hello, I'm looking for clean RF clients from the Giga update (the ones that goes up to Elan), I already checked the ragezone forums in the thread over here https://forum.ragezone.com/threads/re-upload-rf-giga3-repack.924177/ and here https://forum.ragezone.com/threads/re-upload-rf-giga-4-episode-2-kaswynn.891757/ Tested the clients and servers but sadly the clients are all modified versions that seem to be a mix mash of different Giga clients with incomplete files or wrong translation files that ends up displaying gibberish in game, the servers are working fine (specially the one of the mirror in the first link). I understand that this version may be too old already, but its the one I have most of my memories and I wanted to replay the game in a small server with some friends. So I'm looking for these clients: - The Japanese Client from SEGA - The English client from Codemasters - The Chinese Client - The original Korean client - Original Server Files and databases to have another place as a backup besides RageZone... ...or any resource, tool, launchers and such related to these era updates would be really helpful to have as well I didn't wanted to write this in the Release forum but if you prefer to use this thread as the main one to gather these files feel free to move it over there Edited Friday at 02:34 by iwadori
FelixBeta Posted Friday at 08:59 Share Posted Friday at 08:59 Running anything below 2232 is very pointless and risky those days
iwadori Posted yesterday at 11:39 Author Share Posted yesterday at 11:39 I understand might be a very old unsafe version for a production environment but its mostly for running in a local environment with some friends, it is the version I actually played back in the day too so it's particularly special for me as I disliked when the game became a free2play title when RFZ or PlayRF appeared but sadly at the time I wasn't aware of how important was to keep a backup of your favorite games specially when they aren't around anymore 20+ years later, now that I'm older I want to make a backup of all these games in the archives so they don't get lost. I was able to find a torrent here that hosted many clean clients up to 1.0.5 the very latest update from Codemasters/Innova https://rutracker.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6166393 Sadly the tracker delisted the torrent. I continue searching ... Maybe you have in your old backups stuff related to the Giga3/4 days? any pointer helps a lot!
