Hi everybody,

I have spent the last little bit working on fixing up some 2.1.5 server files and and client. I thought I'd share what I've done with everybody in case somebody with more knowledge and capabilities than myself wants them in the hopes that maybe one day I'll see a live 2.1.5 server somewhere.

Server Files

List of changes from default:

  • Cora specialists have access to grazier class skills (at lvl 40 class promotion)
  • Guard Towers take less time to install
  • Ammo is more universal (IE all bows can use all bow ammo, all guns can use all gun ammo) to allow for elemental ammo to be used with all guns/bows.
  • Edited ammo to allow access to AOE elemental ammo of all elements, even with beam bows etc.
  • WeaponItem server side script file fixed so that it matches client ordering. This fixed PvP weapons, black sign man eater (53 relic sword), etc.
  • BootyItem server side script file fixed so that it matches client index ordering.
  • MonsterCharacter server side script file translated into English
  • starting items modified (can easily be edited - I was just too lazy to put the default one across to what I've uploaded)
  • ResourceItem server side script file fixed to match client ordering.
  • Cash Shop = Gold
  • Increased Excelsior sell rates. 
  • Fixed 3D combination for BBL. 
  • Probably a few other things I'm forgetting.

Known Bugs/Issues:

  • Guilds don't seem to work properly - they can be created but a guild master needs to be manually added in the DB.
  • Economy doesn't work - tax seems to be permanently at 10%
  • Probably others I'm forgetting.


Client Files

List of changes from default:

  • MultiClient works (there is no limit on the amount of clients than can be run though - I did this by essentially breaking the protection in the .bin - I don't know enough to be able to get multiclient working with a limit)
  • Various changes to match the above server side changes (like the cora specialist class skills, ammo changes, etc.)

Known Bugs/Issues:

  • If somebody upgrades something to +6, the entire race will crit error.
  • If somebody race targets a UMT, the entire server will crash.
  • Audio is janky.
  • Launcher requires an emulator to open properly (if somebody has a fix for this - I'd be incredibly grateful!)
  • Probably others I'm forgetting.

I made a lot of these changes with zero knowledge of how to do anything like this - massive thanks to likerturban, dexterc2r, and Ron for helping me and sharing their knowledge.
